Anglo-Eastern is one of the world’s largest ship management companies. The Company was established by Peter Nash in 1974. Initially, it was a chartering and ship-owning organization. Back then, Anglo-Eastern Ship Management Services was the in-house manager of the ships. The Company went through the process of a management buy-out in 1998 and a subsequent merger with Denholm Ship Management, an established UK ship manager in 2001. These were the key factors in establishing Anglo-Eastern as a truly independent, international ship management company.
In August 2015, two world renowned ship management companies, Anglo-Eastern Group and Univan Group, negotiated a merger agreement. The deal was the largest merger of independent, third party ship management companies. Today, Anglo-Eastern manages more than 610 vessels of different types. It has a pool of over 27,300 professional seafarers and over 1,700 shore-based staff, who are positioned globally to assist owners on daily business issues.
