Spring is rich in web-events in Anglo-Eastern Ukraine. The seminar, held by the Ukrainian branch of AESM on May, 19, was focused on Hadley vessels and Ukrainian officers, serving on their board. The London Management office was represented by Capt. Himanshu Chopra, Mr. Venus Venugopalan, Capt. Anuj Bhargava, Capt. Desislav Dimov and Mr. Krishnan Sornakumar.
As the team of the newly-opened office, they continued establishing the bond between the management and the seafarers. So, an important aspect of the event was getting to know each other – every participant, either from the office staff and officers, had a chance to introduce themselves and speak about their background in the Company. Then, the seafarers shared about the challenges they faced on board Hadley ships and suggested their solutions for them.
“I believe today we achieved the main goal we pursue at such seminars – we gave voice to the seafarers, encouraged them to openly share the problems they have to deal with when at sea,” – says Capt. Andriy Boyko, who represented AE Ukraine. “Being aboard, they can come up with the best solutions for most of the issues they face there. Honest and smooth communication is what makes us one team and improves our performance manifold” – he added.
The seminar ended with good news for Anglo-Eastern Ukraine – the office will take another Hadley ship presently managed by Antwerp. It is going to be manned with Ukrainian officers and Indian ratings.
